Northcote House (also referred to as Sunningdale Park) just outside Ascot in Berkshire is a venue I photograph at a lot, being a preferred wedding photographer supplier certainly helps!
It’s a beautiful grade II listed neo-georgian mansion house surrounded by a “mere” 65 acres of parkland designed by the renowned Capability Brown. It makes a fantastic wedding venue, the first thing you see when you approach is the huge white column front of the house then entering by absolutely massive oak doors, its sure to make your guests go “Wow!”.

Inside is equally impressive with a fantastic arched mezzanine overlooking the reception area. I’ll often take shots of bride and groom with a glass of champagne looking down on there guests. One thing that people often overlook when choosing a wedding venue is photographic opportunities inside, this is the UK and it’s not always sunny. So what can seem a great venue when the sun is shining can turn into a dark and cramped interior when its raining. This is not true of Northcote House, its got loads of great architecture and space inside and out.

I must say its one of my favourite Berkshire Wedding Photography venues. It has loads of great photo opportunities. There is a beautiful lake at the bottom of the garden but I’d recommend catching a lift on the supplied golf buggy as it can be a bit of a walk in high heels and white wedding dress.

Reportage wedding photography at Northcote House
For my wedding photography I’ve worked for clients who get married there (it’s fully licensed) as well as couples who have a traditional church marriage close by and then use it as there reception afterwards. Having everything in one venue does help though as I can easily move between bride and groom if things are running a bit late before the ceremony.
I’m always very impressed with the co-ordination that the venue supplies, some venues the staff all seem to disappear when a wedding party arrives. I’m very experienced with working with the various managers which can help greatly when time and weather constraints come into play. Plus it also helps knowing where all of the great shots are.

I can also cover your entire wedding day, to include photography of the speeches and first dance. The Hallway and arches are a stunning backdrop to your dancefloor more than making up for lack of dancing skills that you may have!
